Download the file from the below link & follow the Installation process mentioned below:

3. Add an entry to the registry: HKLMinitLaunch998=ResidentFlashwifiixwifi.exe

CeRegEditor software can be used to add the above value into the registry. More halp for editing registry can be taken from http://bit.ly/DXGPS

After following the above 3 steps, you have set your GPS Unit to run WiFi in it using SPECTEC SDW-821 SDIO WiFi Card.

Whenever the Wifi Card is inserted in the SD Card Slot, the connection automatically appears in the right bottom corner & will show the available wifi networks.

Connect to the desired network & enjoy using wifi on the GPS Unit.

I have tested the WiFi card on both 5Inch & 4.3Inch GPS Devices. It works perfectly fine.

GAPI - Enable game in Miopocket (GPS)

- Navigate to Setting > GAPI (in Miopocket),

- Simply choose "Install alternate GAPI driver" from the initial GAPI menu,

- then choose GAPI Tests or GAPI setup to select your device.

- GAPI Setup > under start tap > Select Device > Choose "YFGPS 79C-1, CE 5.0, 480x272" at the bottom.

Improvement: Still have some rerouting takes longer time, but generally it is like 2-4 seconds.

Pls replace gxrmin.exe in gxrmin folder & Que.exe in Gxrmin>Apps>WM.

And (in Gxrmin software) navigate to tools > settings > map. Pls choose less or least in map detail.

GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It is a satellite radio navigation system built by the United States Department of Defense. Research on the system began in the 60's and the first GPS satellite was launched in 1978. It took a while for the entire system to come online but finally on April 27, 1995 it became fully operational. At first, the GPS network was only for military use but in the 80's the United States government authorized the general public to make use of it too.

What is a GPS Satellite?

There are currently 24 satellites orbiting the earth is 6 distinct trajectories. Each satellite completes two orbits around the earth each day, traveling at a speed of about 7,000 MPH. At the highest point in their orbit they are over 12,000 miles above the earth. From this height, the satellite signals can be received over a large percentage of the surface of the earth. A GPS unit works by receiving multiple satellite signals and calculating the receiver's position based on triangulation of the different signals. Accuracy is increased with each additional satellite signal that is received so the orbits of the satellites are set so that at most points on the earth there are at least 4 signals that can be received. Of course, this is in theory only since the landscape around you can block some or all of the GPS signals.

What is a GPS Earth Monitoring Station?

There are four unmanned monitoring stations in the US and one manned master station which is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The four unmanned stations relay position data from the satellites to the master station. The master station uses the relayed information to correct the position of the sat tiles and sends the corrected information back to the satellites. This synchronizes the data that each satellite transmits to your GPS receiver and ensures that your receiver is always working with accurate information.

What is a GPS Receiver?

GPS satellites transmit low power radio signals that can only be picked up if your GPS unit has a direct "line of sight" to the satellite. The signals can penetrate things like glass, plastic and clouds but not solid structures like buildings or rocks. A GPS unit works by triangulating your location based on the position of at least three satellites in the GPS system. It compares the time it takes to receive a signal from each of the satellites in range and calculates your location based on the data.

If you are only able to pick up three satellite signals, your GPS unit can report your location in latitude and longitude. However, when the GPS unit picks up signals from at least four satellites it also calculates your altitude. Now it can report your trip distance, distance to a destination, travel speed and even your altitude if your GPS receiver features an altimeter.

How accurate a GPS unit is depends on its ability to find and lock onto a satellite's signal. As you might expect, you get what you pay for and the more expensive GPS units are generally more accurate. The best consumer units claim accuracy to within a few feet while the older or less expensive units can be off up to 30-40 feet or more. Where you plan to use your GPS receiver could determine if it's worth shelling out the extra money for increased accuracy. If you're using your GPS unit in flatter terrain with a good open view of the sky a less expensive unit could perform nearly as well as the top of the line receiver. However, if you plan to use your receiver in dense tree cover, while hiking in ravines or narrow valleys, or among tall buildings you'll gain much better accuracy with a more higher end GPS unit.

The 27 (24 active and 3 backups) satellites making up the GPS network over earth send microwave signals at light speed to communicate positions. For years, the military has used GPS coordinates to locate people, targets, set navigation and establish meeting places. Today, people use GPS for hiking, driving, SCUBA diving, golf and other applications where specific locations are needed. Many hand-held GPS units are accurate to within 12 inches or less. You can learn to read GPS coordinates to better understand GPS devices.

Instructions

Step 1

Imagine the Prime Meridian and International Date Line as an equator splitting the earth into east and west. The Americas are located in the west and most of Africa, Europe and Asia are in the east when you read GPS coordinates.
Step 2

Divide the earth into the northern and southern hemispheres for the first number when you read GPS coordinates. For example, N 20 degrees stands for the imaginary latitude line 20 degrees North of the equator. The coordinates S 75 05.235' represent a line slightly more than 75 degrees South of the equator. Sometimes, South is represented by a minus sign.
Step 3

Split the earth into an imaginary east and west along the Prime Meridian. The Prime Meridian runs from the North Pole to the South pole through the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Algeria, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Ghana and Antarctica. The 180th meridian (half of 360 degrees, which represents a full circle) is the International Date Line and helps to establish east and west.
Step 4

Read the second set of numbers in the GPS coordinates to determine the east or west line. For example, W 60 degrees stands for 60 degrees west of the Prime Meridian for a location in the western hemisphere. The coordinates E 15 degrees 07.55' relates to just over 15 degrees to the east of the Prime Meridian at a location in Europe or Africa. Sometimes, West is shown by a minus sign.

Step 1

Make sure that the GPS receiver is plugged into your vehicle's cigarette lighter. Some GPS models are chargeable allowing for cordless use as well.
Step 2

Turn the unit on. Many systems require you to agree to terms and conditions regarding GPS use while driving. Your GPS receiver will then showcase either a menu page or "Where to?"
Step 3

Choose among the GPS choices for destination. These may include address, shopping, entertainment, coordinates, etc. If you select address, you will be prompted to enter a street number and name, city and state. The GPS will then find your address. If your address is mistyped or not found on the current edition of the GPS, the system will provide a list of addresses close to your choice.

Select the activity you're planning, if you don't have a physical address to enter. For example, if you want to find an Italian restaurant, choose "Food."
